Hello all!

In conjunction with a secret project, linuxNUS is presenting its own tshirt to mark the event...

The tshirt's design is attached. It comes with a white, fashionable font that says "linuxNUS" at the back and a fork-bomb in front. All t-shirts come in black. Fork bomb is in front across the chest while linuxNUS is on the right sleeve

Price of the tshirt should be ard $10-15. We're gathering initial orders now(). if (orders <=15), we might consider to scrape the tshirt Price of the shirt is $14 for a minimum of 20 pieces so please give us your support (and your money) 

If you think this is a good design and would like to place an order, please help to compile a count friendly list in this forum thread. Include the quantity and shirt size please.

Edit: linuxNUS is a bit below the collar fairly small but visible.. while the fork bomb is across the chest.. and HOW COME NOBODY TELL ME THE FORK BOMB IS WRONG RAWWWR. Correct one is : ){ :|:& };:

Edit: Updated correct Forkbomb in 3rd attachment... not sure if the reflection is achievable by embroidery though lolz

Update 03/06/08: I managed to find a supplier who quoted us $14 per shirt. All those who are ordering shirt please email me at elfgoh a_t yahoo d-o-t com to either pay me $14 via fund transfer or in cash. Payment needs to be received first before the shirts are ordered. Orders and payment received later than 20 June 2008 will be subject to additional overhead charge of $1.

hmmm I am nt too sure abt that honestly... but i guess it shld nt differ too greatly frm the size u get at dept stores..

I'll probly get samples to confirm the sizes once we get enough orders?

Heh, i try my luck at getting some samples for myself and KH this week... KH, u want a black text on a white shirt? I try and arrange that.

Alrite juz a quick update.

Went down with Zhuoru ad Ruiwen to Beach Road Army market to settle the shirts

So we got 2 sets of quotations:

1st store:
Cotton Shirt: $5
Cost of each embroidery frame (12cm in diameter): $3.50

We can have 1 frame at the back for "linuxNUS" ($3.50) and either 1 frame (12cm, $3.50) or 2 frame (24cm, $7, haven't ask if 2 frame can but let's assume can for now) for the fork bomb in the front.. If we want a dollar or hex sign, to differentiate between coreteam and non coreteam members, on the sleeve it will be an additional $2.

So if we order frm store 1, we pay $12 - $17.50 per shirt, depending on what we want. The price will be the same be it 20 or 70 orders.
2nd store:
Tell us that fork bomb should be silk screen printed, while small stuff like "linuxNUS" and the printing on the sleeve should be embriodery.

Tell us that for 20-50 orders it will be $18, while if 70 - 100, it will be $12-$15 per shirt.

This are the quotations we get so far... so if we have very little orders we go for the 1st store. If there's any1 willing, pls go ahead and get quotations from shirt printers.

Spoke with a friend (firdooze) and he says he is pretty interested, but thought polo tees might look better.

I like the core-team getting # and others getting $ though. Should Core-team get # AND $, just so they can actually log out of root shell every now and then?

How will the design of the fork bomb (originally centrliased and big across the chest) be amended if polo tees are used?

Fyi, think polo tees cost $10 or there abt.

I think we could have the forkbomb on the chest area, where logos normally go
